Bonfire Night - 19-11-2009
A good crowd came along for the annual Bonfire Night celebrations on 7th November. The weather started off well enough for a blazing fire to be lit without difficulty- much to the chagrin of Guy Fawkes who received his customary toasting. The first spots of rain hastened the launch of some spectacular fireworks, and, as the clouds thickened there was time to polish off soup and vin chaud before leaving our hosts in well merited peace. Thanks to all who helped, especially Jo in the soup kitchen and Brendan-the bonfire-builder. And a big thank you once again to the Massie’s for their hospitality.
