The Château Frankenbourg is a typical medieval castle: massive walls and tower, a deep well and a magnificent view of the Vosges and the Château Haut Koenigsbourg.

The walk to the castle is partly uphill but not too strenuous (1.5 to 2 hours).

After the walk, we can make our way to Fouchy (3km) and have a meal at “Chez Diette”, a well-known place for its Alsatian specialities.

The walk to Frankenbourg is planned for:

- Sunday, September 26th at 12 pm.

- Meeting point: Car park in Villé next to the railway station and behind Lidl supermarket, on the left just after you get into Villé

- take the motorway A35 Strasbourg to Selestat; turn off at Villé: first N59 and after approximately 4km D424.

Please wear good walking shoes and bring a picnic lunch.

Call Karl by Friday September 25th if you want to come.
